Weekend Events

Hello!

We will be updating this site as we get more details, but this is what we have so far. Please send this site’s address to anyone that needs to be included. We are aware our contact information for everyone that is involved in the parade is limited. We must rely on your participation in doing so as to not leave anyone out. The committee is meeting this weekend to set any dates needed to do float work. We will post those here.

Please email me directly with any questions you may have ([email protected]). I will try to answer some we are anticipating here:

1. The parade is on Saturday, March 16th from 11:00AM – 1:00PM. The festival uptown will commence after the parade. The Federal Clan Kings will perform.

2. Uncle Michael is the Grand Marshal this year and will be at the very beginning of the parade in a TBD convertible. OUR FLOAT WILL BE DIRECTLY BEHIND HIM. Keep alert of dates during the week before the parade. There will be an induction/charity event (planned by the parade officials) and a TV interview because he is the Grand Marshal. Again- details can be found here.

3. We are putting forth some information that is directly related to the fact that we will be at the beginning of the parade.

a. Please arrive between 9:30AM – 10:00AM. We will let you know where the float will be located as soon as we are told. I cannot emphasize the importance of being on time and our unit NOT DELAYING the parade flow.

b. We are not handing out any “trinkets” this year also because that has caused delays in the past.

c. The Bostics (Katie and Brett) have a sweet Green VW that will bring up the rear to help all of our walkers with the pace.

4. The theme this year is “Rockin’ with the Federal Bureau of Rock and Roll”. It is a tribute to Lenny and Michael’s band from the past. Still near and dear to our hearts!

4. Be sure to order your t-shirts and bandanas ASAP. The deadline for shirts is FEBRUARY 20, 2024. Please also be aware that there are only 100 bandanas being printed. First come (paid, not verbally requested), first served.

5. The afterparty will be at Lucky Lou’s as well as the Sunday Brunch.

More details to come — looking forward to celebrating with you all!!
